Bio: I am a Junior Specialist at Dr. Schjerven’s UCSF Immunology Lab and a recent graduate of UC Davis with a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. I am very passionate about scientific research and my ultimate goal is to pursue a PhD in Microbiology. For the past 2 years I tutored biology, chemistry and physics to undergraduate students for the UC Davis Academic Assistance and Tutoring Centers (formerly known as the Student Academic Success Center). Through this experience I cultivated the ability to teach by asking questions, encouraging stressed students, troubleshooting for errors and sharing my passion for science. As a tutor my goal is to help students work hard, believe in their own abilities, and enjoy academics to facilitate future achievements in scientific fields.
