Bio
I am a college graduate taking a gap year before beginning on my Ph.D. in Mathematics. After moving to Utah three years ago for school, I started tutoring a friend's younger brother who was struggling with his math class. Frustrated with the teaching style of his school, he reminded me of myself in 8th grade, and I helped him with using alternative approaches to learning that I had picked up over the years for myself. Because I had several negative experiences with classroom formats and no one to help me, I strive to help students as a tutor to overcome frustrating classes and (hopefully) love learning as I do now. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, biking, and hiking, in addition to copious amounts of reading and a little bit of cooking.
