As a tutor with High Performance Tutoring, you will empower students to believe that they are capable of anything they set their minds to. Over time it has become clear to me what an impact a quality tutor can have in a student's understanding of math and science. Students often become frustrated when their school work is confusing. Basic problems can seem impossible, and there is a natural inclination to give up. Tutors are great for rebuilding confidence. We can repeatedly demonstrate what each student is truly capable of, and they soon begin to believe in the incredible power of their own mind.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
At least one year of full-time classroom teaching or tutoring experience.
Excellent communication skills.
A passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
Recommended Experience:
A teaching license.
A degree in education or learning psychology.
A master's degree, PhD, or the terminal degree in your field.
Graduate school experience with relevant teaching experience.
